commitment to his country and his extraordinary athletic talent. They recount
how he “set a benchmark by maneuvering the aircraft away to safeguard thousands

The
34-year-old pilot leaves behind his wife, who is also an officer in the Indian
Air Force, their six-year-old daughter, and his parents.
Father
was browsing YouTube to find the video of the pilot :
Since
Saturday morning, sorrowful scenes have been playing out at the Syal family's
residence in Nagrota Bagwan. Locals are attempting to comfort the bereaved
family, who are devastated by the abrupt loss.
Wing
Commander Naman Syal’s father, Jagan Nath Syal, found out about his son's
passing while browsing YouTube. He had been looking for videos from the Dubai
Air Show, where his son’s Tejas fighter jet had crashed on Friday.
Jagan
Nath Syal, a retired school principal from Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district,
stated, “I had my last conversation with my son yesterday. He asked me to watch
his performance on TV or YouTube during the air show. Today around 4 pm, while
I was searching for Dubai Air Show videos on YouTube, I stumbled upon reports
of a plane crash. I quickly called my daughter-in-law, who is also a Wing
Commander, to find out what had occurred. Shortly after, at least six Air Force
officers arrived at our house, and that’s when I understood that something
dreadful had happened to my son.”
Namansh’s uncle, Jogindernath Syal, informed PTI Videos that the Wing
Commander’s remains arrived at Sulur Air Force Station close to Coimbatore in
Tamil Nadu at approximately 9 AM on Saturday. Following this, they will be
transported to Gaggal Airport in Kangra on Sunday. He stated, “We have
organized everything for the final ceremonies.”
